Northrop Grumman is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer – Level 3 or 4 in the Space Sector, located in Dulles, VA. The role emphasizes developing space flight software platforms for National Space Security programs, requiring a TS/SCI clearance and onsite work in a SCIF.

The position offers a challenging environment with collaboration across systems, software, and hardware teams, plus a 9/80 schedule and on-site work. Relevant experience with C/C++, Python, and other dev tools is essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace/Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering or related STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience (Level 3) or Master’s with 3 years or PhD with 1 year.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship.
• Willingness to undergo CI/polygraph.
• Experience with Python, Linux, and Git.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse engineers.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Experience with GitLab workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Mansioni

• Develop embedded software modules interacting with hardware protocols and interfaces.
• Define flight-software requirements, testing and verification plans.
• Develop and configure board support packages and device drivers.
• Conduct trade studies via simulations and development kits.
• Integrate spacecraft components and flight software with simulations.
• Work across hardware-in-the-loop platforms and simulations.
• Prepare design docs, analyses, and test results for customers.
• Troubleshoot software installations and integrations with the team.
