Job summary

Blue Origin, a leader in spaceflight, seeks a Software Engineer for the TeraWave RF and Optical Systems program in the Emerging Systems unit. You will lead embedded software development for constrained environments, real-time OS, high-speed data handling, and encryption on space-grade hardware.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will design and optimize software with hardware interfaces, contribute to documentation, and help drive CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 1+ year embedded C/C++ on Linux/RTOS/Bare-metal.
• Strong OO design in C++.
• Experience debugging with SW/HW tools (GDB, JTAG).
• Familiarity with peripheral interfaces: SPI, I3C, I2C, PCIe, CAN.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multi-threaded embedded software in C/C++.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware systems.
• Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and design discussions
• Troubleshoot problems and debug using telemetry, logs/traces, code instrumentation, and tools.
• Develop unit and integration tests and automation for CI/CD pipelines.
• Learn fast from mentors and peers, deliver with speed and quality
