Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for remote control systems in Mossville, IL. You will work with a 7-8 person team onsite to design, develop, test, and integrate robust embedded software across hardware and software boundaries.

The role emphasizes V&V, functional safety considerations, and collaboration with global teams, with a focus on production-ready solutions and opportunities to use AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field with 5–7 years in embedded software, integration & validation.
• 5+ years of Embedded C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink experience.
• 5+ years of embedded system development with RTOS.
• Strong requirements engineering, system architecture, and V&V capabilities.
• Proficiency with CAN, Ethernet, embedded control systems; CANoe/CANalyzer, Wireshark, Git.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and traceability.
• Design, develop, integrate, validate remote control systems across software, hardware, and controls.
• Develop embedded software using Embedded C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Perform V&V, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Support functional safety, FMEA, product quality, and release activities.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with remote control system engineers and global teams.
