Job summary

Aeva is seeking a software engineer to design and optimize real-time embedded applications in C/C++ for its LiDAR platforms.

You will work in QNX and embedded Linux environments, develop drivers for SPI/I2C/UART, and collaborate with EE, DSP, System Test, and SW QA to deliver production‑grade software. This role supports autonomous sensing technology and offers opportunities to grow in a fast-paced hardware–software team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing C/C++ in embedded systems.
• Experience with QNX, embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, Zephyr.
• Driver development for SPI, I2C, UART.
• Applications interacting with custom hardware on QNX/embedded Linux.
• Experience with ARM and Tensilica architectures.
• Strong OS/RTOS fundamentals; lab debugging with logic analyzers and scopes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time applications in C/C++ for application processors and MCUs.
• Participate in requirements/design docs, test plans, and reviews.
• Debug complex issues during product development.
• Collaborate with EE and other teams to support new product design processes.
