Job summary

Aeva is seeking a software engineer to design and implement real-time applications on application processors and microcontrollers using C/C++. You will work on embedded platforms, participate in design docs, tests, reviews, and validation within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in embedded C/C++, familiarity with QNX, embedded Linux, and RTOS, plus hands-on experience with SPI/I2C/UART and ARM/Tensilica architectures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing C/C++ in embedded systems environments.
• Experience with QNX, embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, Zephyr.
• Experience in driver development for SPI, I2C, UART, etc.
• Experience developing applications that interact with custom hardware on QNX and embedded Linux.
• Experience working cross-functionally with EE, DSP, System Test, and SW QA.
• Experience working on ARM, Tensilica architectures.
• Strong understanding of OS and RTOS fundamentals.
• Passion to make embedded SW applications resilient, safe, and production-grade.
• Ability and interest to operate in lab settings with logic analyzers and oscilloscopes for debugging.
• Nice-to-haves: familiarity with AUTOSAR middleware and automotive SW development; building hobby embedded projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time applications on application processors & microcontrollers in C/C++
• Participate in software processes including requirements and design documentation, test-plan generation and execution, peer design and code reviews
• Debug complicated issues during product development
• Collaborate with EE and other teams to support new product design process; schematic reviews
