Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a software engineer for the Next-Generation Avionics Flight Displays team. You will participate in the design, development and verification of Core Displays on the Anthem Next Generation Avionics Platform.

You will contribute across the software lifecycle and help deliver robust, high-performance cockpit software for a cloud-connected, Always-On Integrated Flight Deck family used across commercial, defense and emerging AAM platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Software, or Computer Science is required.
• Embedded software development experience: 1.5–2+ years for Engr II or 4–5 years for Advanced/Engr III.
• OpenGL and Vulkan experience preferred for graphics-focused displays.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python; RTOS experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• You will work closely with a passionate team of engineers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking software solutions for our cutting-edge Avionics Flight Display Systems.
• Support the design, development and implementation of robust, high-quality software solutions for cutting-edge Flight Display System platforms, services and/or applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and functionality
• Craft and implement high-level code, ensuring our technology is both robust and user-friendly
• Create test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from concept through implementation and verification
• Enjoy increasing ownership of software modules, deliver innovative features, implement functionalities and contribute to the overall advancement of technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with existing avionics systems.
