Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Software Engineer - Embedded (RIS) to join the Platform Software Team in Sunnyvale, CA. The role blends software engineering with hardware-aware development for next-generation HPE routers, with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days per week in office.

You will design, implement, and maintain embedded platform software, contribute to routing-related features, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver robust, scalable solutions while supporting customers

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 4 years of experience.
Minimum 2 years of C programming experience.
Minimum 2 years of C++ programming experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Linux.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Platform Infrastructure Development: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure software components for routing engine redundancy and high availability.
Diagnostics Software: Develop robust diagnostics tools for router reliability and performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with system/test teams to ensure quality product delivery.
Customer Support: Collaborate with TAC for engineering support on critical deployments.
