Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join the Platform Software Team. You will contribute to cutting-edge software powering the next generation of HPE routers, focusing on platform infrastructure and robust diagnostics.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, tackle high-availability features, and engage with customer support to address escalations and deployments. A strong background in C/C++, Linux, and OO design is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in C programming.
• At least 2 years of experience in C++ programming.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Platform Infrastructure Development: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure software components such as Routing Engine Redundancy, High Availability features, chassis and line card operations, fabric interconnects, and optical module integration.
• Diagnostics Software: Develop and deliver robust diagnostics tools to ensure the reliability and performance of HPE routers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with system and solution test teams to ensure high-quality product and solution delivery.
• Customer Support: Partner with the HPE Technical Assistance Center to provide engineering support for critical customer escalations and successful deployments.
