Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree with related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong system design, diagnostics, and control concepts for embedded software.
• Proficient in C, C++ and Python scripting.
• Experience with SiL/HiL or vehicle-level testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with SW testing, verification, and MISRA guidelines.
• Ability to document designs, tests, and results clearly.
• Integrity, initiative, and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver embedded software for VMEC BMS and HV battery controls.
• Ensure timely, high-quality software deliverables for wired battery management.
• Adhere to safety, government regulations and GM MISRA policies.
• Apply architecture, abstraction and design patterns for modular, scalable software.
• Translate requirements into robust software with diagnostics and controller comms.
• Implement and validate software with CAN/LIN/Ethernet in modern vehicle architectures.
• Test and demonstrate software through HWIL, bench, and vehicle testing.
• Develop diagnostics for fault detection, isolation and field support.
• Document requirements and link to test cases for traceability.
• Contribute technical leadership within Scrum teams and mentor juniors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Promote Software Built In Quality and early defect detection.
• Apply SDV and SOA principles for modularity and long-term scalability.
• Leverage CI/CD and DevOps practices to improve quality.
