Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Software Engineer - Embedded Linux in Cedar Rapids, IA for a 1-year W2 contract with benefits. You will develop and support embedded Linux software including BSPs, device drivers, bootloaders, kernels, and root filesystems.

Work with hardware teams on board bring up, hardware integration, debugging, and root cause analysis while contributing to design, coding, testing, and delivery of embedded systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded Linux experience.
• Strong C/C++, Bash, and Python skills.
• Experience with device drivers and board bring up.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded Linux software including BSPs, drivers, bootloaders, kernels, and root filesystems.
• Support hardware integration; perform board bring-up and debugging.
• Collaborate on software delivery; participate in Agile planning using Jira and Git.
