Job summary

Aquila Technology seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to support defense‑related PAT systems in Lexington, MA. The role focuses on designing testbeds, collecting data, and validating PAT hardware-in-the-loop setups.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in C/C++ embedded development, MATLAB, Linux, and PAT experience, with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field. This is a part-time onsite role offering competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with camera interfaces (Digital Focal Plane Array and/or sensors unlimited cameras).
• 2+ years of using Git for version control.
• 2+ years of C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• 2+ years of control system modeling and design (MATLAB, Simulink).
• 2+ years of development on Linux-based platforms.
• 2+ years of MATLAB and data analysis.
• 2+ years of Embedded System Development.
• 2+ years of Experience with Pointing, Acquisition, and Tracking (PAT) systems.

Responsibilities

• Create and design testbeds to assess PAT systems.
• Develop telemetry and data collection software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs for testing.
• Test and validate PAT systems with hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within PAT systems.
