Job summary

Aquila Technology is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support PAT systems in a defense context. The role focuses on designing testbeds, collecting data, and validating software with hardware-in-the-loop testing.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field, strong C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink skills, and experience with Linux. This is a 100% onsite position near Lexington, MA requiring US citizenship and an active secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years - Familiarity with camera interfaces (Digital Focal Plan Array and/or a sensors unlimited camera)
• 2 years - Version control systems (Git)
• 2 years - C/C++ Programming
• 2 years - Control system modeling and design (MATLAB, Simulink)
• 2 years - Development experience on a Linux platform
• 2 years - MATLAB
• 2 years - Embedded System Development
• 2 years - Experience with Pointing, Acquisition, and Tracking (PAT) systems

Responsibilities

• Create/design testbeds to assess PAT systems.
• Develop telemetry and data collection software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs for testing.
• Test and validate PAT systems with hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within PAT systems.
