Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking an Embedded Engineering Co-Op in Milwaukee, WI. The role runs seven months, January–August 2027 or June–December 2027, and requires full-time commitment during the academic term.

You will work with mentors to tackle hardware-software challenges in an agile setting. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree, with interest in Computer Engineering, C++ and Python, and familiarity with Agile, PLC/drives, and robotics projects.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
• The ability to work full time over the Spring 2027 (January 2027 to August 2027) or Fall academic term.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside full-time employees and industry professionals improving existing products in an agile environment.
• Develop new and existing products in an agile environment with a dedicated mentor.
• Exposure to OOD/OOA, full development life cycle, agile methodology, system design, test driven development and build/configuration management.
