Job summary

Rockwell Automation is offering a Summer AI Software Engineering Co-op in Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH. The role runs June–August 2027 with a structured mentor program and exposure to AI-powered software development within enterprise automation projects.

The co-op emphasizes hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle, agile practices, and modern tooling. Eligible students gain industry exposure while balancing an academic schedule in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• You'll work with development teams, gaining hands-on experience in software development environments and using development techniques.
• You will have exposure to the full development life cycle, agile methodology, system design, test-driven development, test automation, and build and configuration management.
• Build software applications, services, and integrations using modern software engineering practices and AI technologies.
