Bosch Mobility Aftermarket is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for diagnostic devices and collaborate across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will define architectures, participate in reviews, and support hardware bring-up and automated builds, leveraging C++, C#, Java, and Android/Linux. Join a team focused on cutting-edge mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or EE required.
• 3+ years of software development delivering to production.
• 3+ years' experience using C++, C#, and/or Java; strong written/verbal communication.
• Full stack development on Android and/or Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for Bosch diagnostics devices using C++, C#, Java.

POSITION

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will create software that runs on or works with the electronic devices for the Bosch Automotive Service Solutions diagnostics group. Join the team as we change the way we create and develop new products.

• To develop cutting edge software using C++, C#, Java, and/or Android
• To help define the software architecture and design for exciting new products.
• To participate in design reviews, code reviews and adhere to software development best practices
• To provide system-wide problem-solving, solutions, and production support.
• To support hardware board, bring-up, troubleshooting, device driver development and automated software builds.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field required.
• 3+ years’ experience developing software and delivering to a production environment.
• 3+ years' experience using C++, C#, and/or Java. Proven capability in technical communications, often called upon to express complex technical concepts verbally and in writing.
• Full stack development on Android and/or Linux
• Ability to learn from other team members and adopt to best in class industry standards

DESIRED

• Application development for embedded Linux.
• Android and/or Linux Board Support Package experience.
• Android and/or Linux device driver experience.

Experience with communication protocols such as CAN bus, TCP/IP, UDP, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $82,000- 116,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
