Job summary

Bosch Mobility Aftermarket in the United States seeks a systems engineer to lead the design of ACS (Air-Conditioning Service) products. You will develop high-level architecture, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with certifications.

Responsibilities include documenting designs, creating test plans, and supporting manufacturing to reduce warranty costs. The role requires hands-on creative problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Four year Engineering degree, BSEE preferred.
• 3+ years related experience preferred.
• Proven design skills, utilizing knowledge of similar product.
• Experience with global/international teams also highly desirable.
• Previous experience with product certifications (UL) preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills with solid documentation skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects keeping accurate documentation and records.

Job Description
This position is responsible for the system level design of the ACS (Air-Conditioning Service) products. This will include the high level design documentation for electro-mechanical systems and components, including interactions between the software, hardware, and mechanical components, such as motors, sensors, switches, and controls. The candidate will work closely with a cross functional team to deliver products on‑time, on‑spec, and on‑budget. To be successful, the candidate must be innovative, creative, detail oriented, comfortable working from a vision, and comfortable working in a fast‑pace environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously
Principle Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)

• Conceptualize and document system level architecture design of the AC service products.
• Create system level design documentation.
• Coordinate testing and documentation required to achieve and maintain product certifications (UL, CE, etc.)
• Create test plans and reports to validate design concepts.
• Troubleshoot problems to assist with manufacturing or reduce warranty costs.
• Team leadership - lead the project team to be creative, accurate, detailed, and professional.
• Perform design analysis and FMEA‘s on system designs to assure form, fit, function, and safety.
• Maintain project documentation, i.e. design reviews, FMEAs, design specifications, wiring diagrams, test plans, etc.
• Represent the Design Engineering Team with professionalism and integrity when communicating with the Customer, Cross Functional Teams and the entire organization.
• Takes full responsibility for providing the customer (internal and external) with service and products (documentation, prototypes, etc.) that exceed customer’s expectations.
  

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PC skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, etc), CAD experience (Solidworks) preferred, Labview preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment. Experience working with global/international teams also highly desirable.
• Previous experience with product certifications (UL) preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills with solid documentation skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects keeping accurate documentation and records
• Ability to work well with challenging individuals and customers

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $99,900 - $116,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
