Job summary

Bosch Mobility Aftermarket seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to create software for diagnostics devices. You will join a team shaping new products with embedded Linux and Android platforms.

You will contribute to architecture, review cycles, and production support while collaborating across departments in a dynamic manufacturing environment in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in CS, EE, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of software development in production.
• 3+ years with C++, C#, or Java; strong technical communication.
• Full stack development on Android/Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for embedded devices in Bosch diagnostics.
• Define software architecture and design for new products.
• Participate in design and code reviews following best practices.
• Provide system-wide troubleshooting and production support.
• Support hardware bring-up and device driver development.

Job Description

POSITION
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will create software that runs on or works with the electronic devices for the Bosch Automotive Service Solutions diagnostics group. Join the team as we change the way we create and develop new products.

• To develop cutting edge softwareusing C++, C#, Java, and/or Android
• To help define the software architecture and design for exciting new products.
• To participate in design reviews, code reviews and adhere to software development best practices
• To provide system-wide problem-solving, solutions, and production support.
• To support hardware board, bring-up, troubleshooting, device driver development and automated software builds.
• To seek out and participate in personal development opportunities.
• To grow and share your knowledge base of the latest technologies, industry standardization, and engineering best practices.
• To collaborate with multiple departments in a dynamic manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field required.
• 3+ years’ experience developing software and delivering to a production environment.
• 3+ years' experience usingC++, C#, and/or Java. Proven capability in technical communications, often called upon to express complex technical concepts verbally and in writing.
• Full stack development on Android and/or Linux
• Ability to learn from other team members and adopt to best in class industry standards

DESIRED

• Application development for embedded Linux.
• Android and/or Linux Board Support Package experience.

Experience with communication protocols such as CAN bus, TCP/IP, UDP, UART, SPI, I2C, etc

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $82,000- 116,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
