Job summary

Danfoss is seeking an Embedded Software Developer for Drives Power Conversion in a hybrid setup in Finland. You will design, code, test, and optimize embedded software in C/C++ for power conversion systems, closely collaborating with hardware, system, and product teams.

We value at least 3 years of hands-on embedded development, experience with RTOS and Embedded Linux, and strong debugging and scripting skills. English communication is essential for collaboration across locations.

Qualifications

In this role, your work will directly influence product performance, quality, and customer value for our embedded systems and connected drives. You will work closely with hardware, system, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions for real-world applications.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design, develop, and test embedded software using C and C++ for power conversion applications
  • Implement software for microcontrollers, processors, and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Integrate software with hardware components and communication protocols
  • Debug, optimize, and maintain embedded applications throughout the product lifecycle
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, testing activities, and technical documentation to support high-quality delivery
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in hands‑on development of embedded software systems
  • Solid programming experience with C and C++
  • Experience working with embedded Linux and/or real‑time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Experience using debugging tools, Git, software testing practices, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Good communication skills in English, combined with analytical thinking and a collaborative approach to problem solving
