Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee, WI, seeks an Embedded Engineering Co-Op to work 7 months from May/June 2027 to December 2027 (or Jan–Aug 2027). You will collaborate with industry professionals in an Agile environment, receive a dedicated mentor, and help develop both new and existing products that combine software and hardware.

You should be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, have experience with C++ and Python, and familiarity with Agile methods

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
Ability to work full time during the Fall 2027 semester (May 2027–December 2027) or Spring 2027 semester (Jan 2027–August 2027).
Legal authorization to work in the US; Rockwell will not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with embedded teams to develop new and existing products in an Agile environment.
Each co-op has a dedicated mentor to help ramp up on the code base and remove daily blockers.
Exposure to software/hardware integration and processes including OOD/OOA, full life cycle, TDD, test automation, and build/configuration management.
