Gilder Search Group in Midtown Manhattan seeks an experienced Embedded Technician to support access control and security systems for a high-profile building.

This hands-on role requires you to manage your workload, own tickets from start to finish, and communicate clearly with building teams and vendors. You’ll coordinate with locksmiths and onsite staff while maintaining detailed records and ownership of issues through resolution.

Qualifications

• Lenel/Genetec certification required.
• Strong hands-on experience with access control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting door hardware, locks, readers and related access control equipment.
• Strong ticket-management experience with ServiceNow or similar.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to prioritize and manage own tickets without constant direction.
• Comfortable coordinating with locksmiths and outside vendors.
• Professional and confident in a high-expectation corporate environment.

• Keep detailed records and make sure issues don't get lost between teams.
• Work independently while maintaining a strong relationship with building management and other onsite personnel.

What We’re Looking For

The Environment

This is an embedded position, not a typical service technician role where you're moving from site to site.

You’ll be responsible for a specific building and expected to take ownership of issues all the way through resolution. The team has high standards and expects technicians to be organized, responsive, technically capable, and able to communicate well.
