Job summary

Aptiv in the United States seeks an Embedded Engineering Manager to lead robotics and drone platforms, owning architecture for embedded software, sensing, and compute. You will shape technical roadmaps, guide cross‑functional teams, and partner with product, hardware, and safety groups to deliver scalable, production‑ready systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive development processes, and ensure on‑time delivery while balancing performance, safety, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (CS/EE/Systems).
• 10+ years of embedded systems experience in robotics/automotive/related products.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership and people management experience.
• Proven track record delivering end‑to‑end ownership in robotics/autonomy projects.
• Strong expertise in systems engineering, embedded software, and product development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical strategy, architecture, and execution for embedded systems and software across AMR and drone platforms.
• Provide technical leadership across sensing, compute platforms, data pipelines, perception algorithms, embedded software, and system integration.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Technical Program Managers to shape roadmaps and align with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain technology roadmaps by monitoring industry trends and future product requirements.
• Guide trade‑offs involving performance, latency, reliability, safety, and cost.
• Lead engineering teams responsible for embedded systems architecture, sensor integration, and runtime inference.
