Job summary

Aptiv is building a new Robotics business focused on Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Drones. We are seeking an Embedded Engineering Manager to lead teams responsible for hardware and software systems, define roadmaps for embedded software, autonomy, and perception, and build high-performing engineering teams across hardware and software disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, EE, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience developing embedded systems for robotics, automotive, or related products.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership and people management experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional development across hardware, software, systems, safety, and product management.
• Strong technical expertise in systems engineering, embedded software, and product development best practices.
• Experience building engineering roadmaps, resource plans, and organizational capabilities aligned with business objectives.
• Proven track record of delivering products on schedule and at scale.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams responsible for embedded systems architecture and platform software.
• Oversee sensor integration and data acquisition from cameras, lidar, radar, depth sensors, and IMUs.
• Drive end-to-end product development from concept to deployment.
• Define system interfaces, data contracts, and performance expectations.
• Mentor engineers and develop talent.
• Partner with product teams to align roadmaps with business objectives.
• Ensure safety and reliability through KPIs and field data analysis.
