Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a QA Release Engineer for an embedded software role in Foster City, CA. You will drive QA process improvements in the Perception development lifecycle, collaborating with machine learning engineers and cross-functional teams to accelerate from idea to deployment.

You will perform manual and automated testing, triage defects, report regressions, and work to enhance developer velocity while ensuring no performance degradation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience as a QA engineer or similar role.
• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience using Jira for issue tracking and project management.
• Familiar with TestRail or equivalent testing tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications and identify risks or issues.
• Analyze PR from developers and perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Triage system-flagged scenarios for review and track defects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to highlight impact of performance regressions.
• Report and track regressions/defects in an organized manner.
• Continuously improve QA processes to avoid performance degradation.
• Perform root cause analysis and validate fixes with re-testing.
