Job summary

Kforce is seeking a senior Quality Assurance Engineer in California to own QA across web, mobile, API, and backend apps. You will design and maintain automated test frameworks, execute manual and automated testing, and lead release readiness activities.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to embed quality throughout the SDLC, implement metrics, and integrate testing into CI/CD while upholding security and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years in quality assurance or software quality roles.
• 4+ years of Postman/Newman experience.
• 2+ years of Playwright experience.
• 2+ years of release management experience.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Strong API testing and data validation through backend testing.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive quality across web, mobile, API, and backend apps.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites.
• Execute manual and automated testing to ensure reliability and user satisfaction.
• Lead release readiness activities and coordinate production releases.
• Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to embed quality.
• Define and report key quality metrics to drive improvements.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
• Ensure security, privacy, accessibility, and data integrity standards.
• Support troubleshooting, defect triage, and root-cause analysis.
• Create and maintain test plans, cases, release docs, and QA processes.
• Mentor team on testing best practices and automation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing efficiency and coverage.
