Job summary

Air is seeking a highly experienced Product Designer to grow the Design team and shape the Air Enterprise Readiness Platform. This role is deeply embedded with forward-deployed engineers and end-users, emphasizing rapid iteration and ownership of feature strategy.

You will prototype, design data visualizations, and collaborate across product and engineering teams. The role requires a proactive, independent problem-solver who can translate ambiguous objectives into delightful user experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HCD, HCI, Graphic Design, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience designing and shipping complex, data‑driven web products.
• Proven experience in agile, embedded development with rapid iteration.
• Portfolio with revenue-generating case studies.
• Interest in defense tech, analysis, and data visualization.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to solve problems creatively across multiple fidelities.

Responsibilities

• Act as an embedded UX expert, collaborating with engineers and end-users to translate needs into validated features.
• Execute rapid prototyping cycles; document user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Support design implementation with product and engineering teams while balancing speed and design integrity.
• Present designs and milestones to clients, peers, and executives grounded in UX research.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system and UI components library.
• Become an expert on Air.ai and its data assets.
