Job summary

Air is seeking a highly experienced Product Designer to join our embedded design team, working with forward-deployed engineers and end-users on the Air Enterprise Readiness Platform. You will balance speed and usability, translate ambiguous objectives into meaningful experiences, and contribute to rapid prototyping, on-site client engagement, and UX research to ensure user needs are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HCD, HCI, Graphic Design, or related field.
• 3-5+ years designing web-based products, ideally with data components.
• Proven experience in agile, embedded development with rapid iteration.
• Portfolio with revenue-generating case studies.
• Interest in defense tech, data visualization.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Creative problem solving across fidelities.

Responsibilities

• Act as embedded UX expert, collaborating with engineers and end-users to translate needs into validated features and experiences.
• Execute rapid prototyping cycles, documenting user flows and interactive prototypes for quick testing.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scope and deliver 0-to-1 initiatives and prototypes.
• Present designs and milestones to clients and stakeholders, grounded in UX research.
• Contribute to the design system and UI component library.
