Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a Product Designer to own the defense experience end to end, across real-time operator interfaces and enterprise web platforms.

You will conduct primary research with warfighters and engineers, and pair with PMs and engineers to ship. You’ll design interfaces that reduce cognitive load under constrained compute, extend the design system, and help grow the defense practice as the vertical scales.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience across at least two environments.
• Strong ability to ship end-to-end products from research to launch.
• Proven ability to learn new domains and translate findings into design direction.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of one or more Defense products end to end — research, interaction and visual design, prototyping, shipped UI.
• Become the voice of the operator through primary research with warfighters and partners.
• Design real-time edge interfaces that reduce cognitive load under constrained compute and communications.
• Design the trust model for agentic autonomy and escalation patterns involving humans.
• Extend the Defense design system to serve both real-time and enterprise workflows.
• Represent design at demos, program reviews, and industry events and help grow the design practice.
