Job summary

Block is seeking a Product Compliance Manager to partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Legal teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. You will drive a strong compliance posture across Square's Core and Audiences product suites, including commerce platform and customer engagement products.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in compliance for payments/commerce, deep regulatory knowledge, and a proven ability to translate requirements into concrete controls and policies while influencing

Qualifications

• 8+ years in the compliance industry with payments or commerce platform experience.
• Regulatory knowledge in AML/BSA, Payment Card and Network rules, privacy, and consumer/marketing regulations.
• Embedded compliance partner to Product and Engineering teams in agile environments.
• Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable controls, policies and procedures.
• Experience with risk assessments, issues management, testing and monitoring, regulatory exam support and change management.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to document control requirements clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as embedded compliance advisor for Core and Audiences product teams.
• Lead product compliance reviews for launches and feature changes with remediation plans.
• Own and maintain compliance risk and control inventory for product areas.
• Drive issues management, testing and monitoring, and policies/procedures development.
• Coordinate responses for regulatory examinations and audits.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on product portfolio.
• Translate legal/regulatory requirements into practical compliance controls.
• Develop and report on compliance metrics for visibility into health.
