Job summary

Talently is seeking an experienced Embedded Hardware Engineer in Anderson, SC to own power electronics hardware for battery-powered products. You will design MOSFET switching stages, support motor control hardware, and collaborate with firmware on HW/FW interfaces.

The role involves prototype, test, and debug duties with cross-functional teams, ensuring manufacturability and stage-gate progress in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years embedded electronics design with hardware ownership.
• Experience with 32-bit MCUs in battery-powered systems.
• Power conversion or motor drives experience.
• MOSFET switching in 20–80V class with protection design.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium or equivalents.
• Component selection, power sequencing, protection circuits.
• Prototype debug with oscilloscopes, loads, analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Design and own power electronics hardware for battery-powered products.
• Design and debug MOSFET switching power stages and related circuits.
• Support motor control HW implementations and HW/FW interfaces.
• Prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronics with lab tools.
• Lead design activities from schematic to PCB layout and tests.
• Communicate technical direction across hardware, firmware, and test teams.
• Independently track projects through stage-gate development.
