Job summary
Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking an Embedded Software Development Engineer to lead platform projects for Satellite and Ground Systems. You will design embedded software used in Leo products, mentor engineers, and work with cross-functional teams through requirements, validation, and production stages to ensure reliable connectivity.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of embedded firmware experience, strong Linux/Yocto background, and hands-on experience with networking
Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience in new or existing systems.
- 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with embedded Linux, Yocto, or RTOS on networking/consumer devices.
Responsibilities
- Lead platform specific projects and initiatives on Satellite and Ground Systems.
- Design embedded software used in Amazon Leo products from requirements through mass production.
- Mentor a team of software engineers on best practices.
- Collaborate with teams inside and outside Amazon to deliver reliable connectivity hardware.
- Address high-priority issues flexibly and with urgency.
