ART Lab (AI Robot Technology) is building novel endpoints for AI in everyday spaces, creating VLIs that power human-robot interactions across consumer robotics. The Platform Engineer will own the embedded software platform powering our AI-enabled robots, tailoring Linux on NVIDIA Jetson platforms and building OTA, hardware-software integration, and tooling for reliable field deployments.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in embedded Linux development or platform engineering.
• Deep expertise in Linux system internals: kernel configuration, device drivers, boot processes, and system services.
• Strong C/C++ and Python skills.
• Experience with embedded hardware platforms and working close to hardware.

Responsabilités

• Linux Platform Development: Customize and optimize Linux distributions for NVIDIA Jetson-based compute platforms, tuning for performance and reliability.
• Jetson System Integration: Configure, customize, and optimize Jetson developer kits to meet hardware and software requirements.
• OTA Update Infrastructure: Design robust over-the-air software update systems for deployed robots, including rollback and delta updates.
• Hardware-Software Co-design: Collaborate with electrical engineers to optimize board bring-up and system-level performance.
• System Reliability: implement hardware-in-the-loop test automations and on-device diagnostics.
• Developer Experience: create tooling and workflows for AI/robotics engineers to develop, build, test, and deploy on the platform.
• Security and Hardening: implement secure boot, device authentication, and software lockdown.
