Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking a hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack on our MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build, secure, and ship the OS through automated CI/CD pipelines.

This role requires working with low-level OS internals, Yocto/BitBake, system units, and headless hardware. You will maintain build systems, post-processing, and hardening to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on work with Yocto/BitBake and embedded Linux builds.
• Experience securing and hardening Linux-based firmware.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated releases.
• Ability to optimize build times and manage images.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Yocto/BitBake build system and image recipes.
• Implement ROOTFS post-processing and OS hardening tasks.
• Maintain Jenkins pipelines and ensure reliable, concurrent builds.
• Configure embedded Linux components and system services.
• Address Nessus/ security findings and maintain compliance artifacts.
• Profile and tune boot, memory, and performance on ARM64 hardware.
