Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group seeks an hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack on the MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build the OS, secure it, and ship it through automated CI/CD pipelines in a headless embedded environment.

You will work with Yocto/BitBake, systemd services, patch workflows, and Jenkins/GitLab to maintain images, optimize builds, and harden the rootfs.

Qualifications

• Experience with Yocto/BitBake and embedded Linux
• Hands-on OS development for headless devices
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Knowledge of patching and build system tooling

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain Yocto build system and qti-ubuntu-robotics-image
• Write .bb/.bbappend recipes and patch files
• Debug BitBake task failures and optimize builds
• Manage ROOTFS post-processing and OS hardening
• Configure systemd-networkd, services, and scripts for headless devices
• Maintain Jenkins pipelines and GitLab repo structure
• Improve artifact handling and race-condition prevention
