We are hiring an Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand our reach into mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics. Ideal candidates are experienced Linux professionals proficient in OS internals, containerization, system debugging, and embedded software development.
Our Ubuntu server edition is popular in connected devices and industrial PCs. Ubuntu Core, our IoT edition, emphasizes security and resilience for high-end appliances. Our portfolio now includes real-time Linux capabilities and certifications, aiming for reliability, security, developer productivity, and minimal footprint.
This role requires a unique blend of skills: deep Linux knowledge, coding and scripting proficiency, experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, embedded development methodologies, and adaptability to diverse client engagements. Candidates should be committed team players who prioritize customer success and continuous learning.
