We are hiring an Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand our presence in industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics. Ideal candidates are Linux experts with proficiency in OS internals, containerization, debugging, and low-level embedded development. Our Ubuntu server edition is prevalent in connected devices and industrial PCs, and Ubuntu Core offers advanced security and resilience for high-end appliances. We are expanding our offerings with real-time Linux capabilities and certifications, aiming for high reliability, security, and developer productivity.
This role requires a blend of skills: strong Linux knowledge, coding and scripting proficiency, experience with Linux boot process, BIOS, firmware, embedded software development, and adaptability to diverse client projects. Candidates should be result-oriented, team players, and committed to customer success. The role involves engaging with customers, proposing solutions, participating in project delivery, and conveying market needs internally.
Additional skills such as customer engagement experience are a plus.
