We are hiring Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand into industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, Telco, and Consumer Electronics. Ideal candidates are Linux experts familiar with OS internals, containerization, system debugging, and embedded development. Experience with low-level Linux boot processes, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software methodologies is essential. Candidates should be comfortable with rapid change and diverse client engagements, and be team-oriented and committed to excellence.
The server edition of Ubuntu is prevalent in connected devices and industrial PCs. Our Ubuntu Core edition focuses on security and resilience for high-end appliances and equipment, serving clients in consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, and robotics sectors. We are expanding our offerings with new features like real-time Linux capabilities and pursuing certifications to enhance security, management, and developer experience in minimal Linux environments. Our portfolio aims for Linux that is reliable, secure, and developer-friendly.
This role requires a blend of skills: strong Linux knowledge, coding and scripting proficiency, experience in low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development.
