Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer to join its R&D team in New York on a 6-month contract. You will drive analog/digital circuit design, embedded systems, and sensor integration for industrial and utility sensing platforms, collaborating across functions to deliver field-ready hardware.

The role emphasizes PCBA layout, testing, and certification readiness, with familiarity on Modbus RTU/TCP, RS-485, and LoRa.

Formación

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
3+ years of hardware design for embedded systems.
Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design, including low-noise signal paths and power management.
Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus RTU/TCP, LoRa, RS-485).
Familiarity with sensor integration, including temperature, humidity, pressure, and optical sensors.
Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools, Altium Designer preferred.
Experience with Agile and Scrum framework.
Knowledge of EMC, safety compliance and product certification processes.

Responsabilidades

Support product implementation cycle from requirements to production, including PCBA layout and testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware architecture, manufacturing, and program management.
Advance sensor platforms and sustainment improvements for industrial applications.
Assist with documentation, compliance certification, and transition of designs to production.
