Motion Recruitment is seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer for a Phoenix-area defense robotics startup focused on unmanned ground vehicles and robotic swarms. You will design and develop power electronics, embedded systems, PCB layouts, and hardware integration from concept through deployment.

You will own hardware architecture, perform board bring-up, validation, and maintainability improvements. The role requires STM32, embedded C, RTOS, CAN/FDCAN, Ethernet, and a willingness to obtain a U.S.

Formación

• Strong experience designing mixed-signal and power electronics for battery-powered systems.
• Expertise with schematic capture and multilayer PCB layout using Altium Designer.
• Knowledge of DC-DC power conversion, power distribution, protection circuits, and high-current design.
• Experience with STM32 microcontrollers, embedded C, and RTOS-based firmware development.
• Proficiency with CAN/FDCAN, Ethernet networking, and embedded communications protocols.
• Experience with board bring-up, validation, oscilloscope-based debugging, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with thermal analysis, environmental testing, and ruggedized electronics design.
• Experience collaborating with mechanical engineering teams on hardware integration.
• Ability to identify root causes of hardware failures and implement long-term design improvements.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
