Arrow Electronics in San Jose, CA is seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware/electronics design and PCB development. Therole focuses on high-speed interfaces, sensor integration, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust hardware solutions.

You will lead schematic capture, PCB layout, and bring-up, coordinating with suppliers and fabrication teams while ensuring compliance with applicable certifications and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in embedded hardware/electronics design and PCB development.
• Experience with i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, STM32 or similar processors/microcontrollers.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed design, signal/power integrity, EMI/EMC, and hardware debugging.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded hardware design from concept to bring-up and validation.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM management, and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance testing and certifications (FCC, IC, CE, UL) and support verification.
• Collaborate with suppliers, PCB fabrication/assembly teams, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams.

WhatYou'llBeDoing:

5+ years of experience in embedded hardware/electronics design and PCB development.

Strong experience with i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, STM32 or similar processors/microcontrollers.

Hands-on expertise with MIPI DSI/CSI, LVDS, HDMI, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, and camera/display interfaces.

Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, Altium/Cadence, BOM, component selection, and cost optimization.

Strong knowledge of high-speed design, Signal/Power Integrity, thermal analysis, EMI/EMC, and hardware debugging.

Experience in board bring-up, lab testing, EDVT, functional/performance testing, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with FCC, IC, CE, UL certifications and resolving issues during compliance testing.

Experience working with suppliers, PCB fabrication/assembly teams, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Experience with sensor boards and integration of motion, temperature, light, accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer sensors is a plus.
