Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a software Engineering Intern to join our GNSS team. You will help develop, integrate, and verify advanced avionics and PNT software, working closely with navigation algorithm, systems, and hardware teams.

The role provides hands-on experience with embedded software, verification planning, and GenAI-enhanced tooling to improve testing effectiveness, in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM major and enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with embedded C/C++ software development.
• Proficient in using Python/MATLAB for signal analysis, test vectors, and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, integrate, and test embedded software for advanced avionics navigation systems.
• Develop and execute verification plans, procedures, and test cases for GNSS algorithms, navigation functions, and integrity-monitoring software.
• Apply automation, scripting, and GenAI-enhanced tools to improve verification quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with navigation algorithm, systems, and hardware engineering teams to ensure robust end-to-end system performance.
