Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in the Mason, OH area to join a small, on-site team responsible for defense-grade embedded systems. You’ll perform hands-on C/C++ development, build drivers and BSPs, and bring up HDLC communications while collaborating with FPGA/VHDL and hardware engineers to test functionality.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in embedded software, RTOS experience (RTEMS/FreeRTOS/VxWorks/INTEGRITY), and a strong hardware intuition to troubleshoot lab setups

Qualifications

• 4+ years of embedded software experience in regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on C/C++ development at the board level.
• Experience with RTOS such as RTEMS, FreeRTOS, VxWorks or INTEGRITY.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate drivers and BSPs for embedded hardware.
• Bring up HDLC communications and test interfaces with hardware team.
• Collaborate with FPGA/VHDL and hardware engineers during integration.
• Support lab integration, testing, and flight software environments.
