Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. is seeking an Embedded Flight Software Engineer to act as a hands-on developer for real-time embedded flight control systems.

The role involves designing, developing and documenting software products, and delivering across the full software lifecycle in a highly collaborative, agile environment. You will work with Product Owners, Architects, QA and automation teams to create cutting-edge software solutions for mission-critical aerospace applications.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with Python, C and C++ programming with embedded or robotics exposure.
• Exposure to Test Automation concepts.
• Experience with Object Oriented Design.
• Experience with Linux.
• Embraces lean-agile development and shared design philosophy.
• Understanding of Software Configuration Management practices and tools such as Git.
• Embraces using AI-Assisted tooling in all aspects of development.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Act as a hands-on developer to deliver operational and enabling capabilities for an embedded flight control system.
• Design and develop software products, document them, and ensure real-time performance.
• Develop across the full software lifecycle: refine requirements, design subsystems, implement code, build tests.
• Work in an agile environment with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test flight software.
