Job summary

Mach Industries in Los Angeles is seeking a Software Engineer, Flight Software, ranging from new grads to senior. You will design, develop, and implement flight software powering next-generation autonomous defense platforms.

You will work at the intersection of embedded systems, real-time computing, and aerospace engineering, collaborating with hardware and systems teams, and applying rigorous testing across simulation and flight hardware.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in computer science or engineering.
• Experience with embedded real-time software and flight software principles preferred.
• Familiarity with avionics, hardware interfaces, and safety-critical software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement real-time, safety-critical flight software in C, C++, and Rust for embedded systems.
• Engineer efficient, reliable embedded software under resource constraints.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and aerospace teams to integrate with avionics and sensors.
• Develop rigorous testing: unit, integration, system-level testing in simulation and on hardware.
• Contribute to requirements analysis, architecture, coding, verification, and validation of flight-critical software.
