Verkada is seeking a Firmware Release & Test Automation Engineer in San Mateo, CA, to own the final mile between embedded code and deployment. The role combines build infrastructure, automated validation, and release governance in a hybrid onsite setting.

You will architect CI pipelines, design HIL/SIL fixtures, and manage staged OTA updates, collaborating with firmware, hardware validation, and cloud teams to ensure secure, reliable builds.

Qualifikationen

• BS or graduate degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 3+ years in software/firmware build infrastructure, embedded test automation, or release engineering.
• Proficient in Python and Bash for automation.

Aufgaben

• Define and optimize end-to-end release pipeline for embedded Linux and RTOS builds.
• Design, build, and scale automated HIL/SIL test harnesses to catch regressions before firmware reaches hardware.
• Establish go/no-go qualification gates and triage release-blocking bugs with firmware teams.
• Drive staged fleet rollouts, canary deployments, and automated telemetry monitoring for rapid rollback.
• Build tools and CI/CD automation to speed firmware compile, packaging, and local test cycles.
