Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer to join our team in Centennial, CO. This hands-on leadership role focuses on architecting, developing, and delivering embedded firmware for advanced hardware systems while mentoring others.

You will drive the full software lifecycle, work closely with hardware and product teams, and establish firmware standards. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in embedded firmware and strong C/C++, with experience in low-level drivers and leading projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ (including bare‑metal programming).
• Experience writing low‑level drivers and working with hardware components.
• Proven track record of releasing products to market.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of embedded firmware for advanced hardware systems.
• Architect and implement scalable, high-performance firmware solutions.
• Drive full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, and release).
• Develop and optimize low-level drivers for hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, GPIO, sensors, etc.).
• Partner with hardware engineers to define and refine system architecture.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical evaluations; troubleshoot firmware issues.
• Support manufacturing, field applications, and sustaining engineering efforts.
• Establish and improve firmware development processes and standards.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.
