Job summary

Recruiting is seeking an embedded firmware engineer to bring up USB-C Power Delivery boards around ARM Cortex-M MCUs. You will write and debug firmware, configure companion ICs over I2C/SPI/UART, and work hands-on with the hardware team.

The role focuses on bare-PCB bring-up to production firmware, with emphasis on USB-PD behavior, debugging at the bench, and thorough datasheet/schematic literacy.

Qualifications

• Strong embedded C on 32-bit MCUs with interrupts and register-level peripheral work.
• Working understanding of USB-C/USB-PD including source/sink/DRP roles.
• I2C/SPI/UART peripheral communication, configuration, and debug.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up experience: board power-on to running firmware.
• Datasheet and schematic literacy for register tables and connections.
• Comfort with bench debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, SWD/JTAG).
• Git proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Bring up new PCBs and validate power/clocks, connect a debugger, enable peripherals, and get firmware running.
• Develop and debug embedded C firmware on ARM Cortex-M MCUs.
• Configure and drive companion ICs over I2C/SPI/UART.
• Implement and debug USB-C/USB-PD behavior including negotiation and fault handling.
• Bench debug using oscilloscope and protocol analyzers; document configurations and decisions.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to isolate hardware vs. firmware issues.
