Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is hiring an Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer II for its American Wireless Lock team. The role focuses on developing embedded firmware across BLE, Zigbee and WiFi, collaborating with hardware, and participating in code reviews within a Scrum team.

The position is onsite at the Berlin, CT office, with a salary range of $95,000 to $119,000 and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, holidays, health insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of embedded development experience using C.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware for BLE, Zigbee, WiFi in door lock products.
• Collaborate with hardware team on design, development and integration.
• Write automated unit tests and perform code reviews.
• Optimize code size, speed, memory, and power usage for embedded IoT.
• Work in a Scrum team and participate in code reviews.
