Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is seeking an Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer II for our American Wireless Lock team in Berlin, CT. The role focuses on developing embedded firmware across BLE, Zigbee, and WiFi, collaborating with hardware and software teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions for direct-to-consumer products.

You will work within a scrum team onsite, contribute to design and testing, and help optimize performance and power management in connected lock systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded development experience using C language.
• Proficient with C, RTOS, Git, and Jira.
• Experience in design, development, and testing complex multi-threaded embedded IoT applications, and communication protocols via I2C, SPI, UART.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware applications for BLE, Zigbee, WiFi, and other network tech.
• Collaborate with internal/contract firmware developers and hardware architects on design and system architecture.
• Program and debug code, write automated unit tests, perform code reviews, and optimize power management.
• Coordinate with hardware team during design, development and integration.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, feature integration, and share best coding practices.
