ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking an Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer II to join the AWL team in Berlin, CT. You will develop embedded firmware for BLE, Zigbee, WiFi, and other network technologies, collaborating with hardware teams in a fast-paced Scrum environment.

You will design, test, and optimize multi-threaded IoT applications, using C, RTOS, Git, and Jira. A BS/MS in a related field and 3+ years of embedded experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.
• 3+ years of embedded development experience using C language.
• Proficient with C, RTOS, Git, and Jira.
• Experience in design, development, and testing complex, multi-threaded embedded IoT applications and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).
• Specializing in optimizations for code size, speed, memory and power management.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware for BLE, Zigbee, WiFi and other network tech in next‑gen Digital door Lock products.
• Collaborate with internal/contract firmware developers and hardware teams on design and architecture.
• Write and debug code, create unit tests, perform code reviews and optimize power management.
