The role emphasizes Rust and C/C++, with RTOS and hardware abstraction layer work, plus debugging on real hardware and cross-functional collaboration within the Product Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of firmware development for embedded systems.
• Strong C/C++ expertise for resource-constrained targets and real-time constraints.
• Experience with hardware interfaces and device drivers is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain firmware for microcontroller subsystems across multiple hardware programs.
• Develop hardware abstraction layers to survive board revisions.
• Write device drivers for sensors, actuators, and communication peripherals.
• Design and tune RTOS task structures, priorities, and IPC for real-time behavior.
• Take new PCB designs from bring-up through validation.
• Partner with hardware engineers during design reviews and build bench tooling.
